UAW, EAS Carpenters, and CWA All Recently Endorsed Bob Casey For Re-Election To The U.S. Senate

PENNSYLVANIA – Senator Bob Casey received the endorsement of multiple labor unions over the last week, including the United Auto Workers, the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, and the Communication Workers of America. These unions represent tens of thousands of Pennsylvania workers across the Commonwealth. Senator Casey has a record of fighting to protect the right to organize, supporting workers’ and retirees’ pensions, and creating good-paying union jobs across Pennsylvania.

What Labor Leaders Are Saying:

UAW Region 9 CAP/Retiree Representative Wence Valentin III

“Senator Casey is a long-time champion for workers and organized labor. His record of protecting the right to organize, supporting workers’ and retirees’ pensions, and creating good-paying union jobs across Pennsylvania speaks for itself. He has stood in solidarity with us, supported our unionization efforts, advocated for us on the federal level, and even joined us on the picket line. He is the labor ally that we need in Washington.”

EAS Carpenters Union Executive Secretary-Treasurer William C. Sproule

“Union Carpenters and their families have always been able to count on Senator Casey to have their backs. Senator Casey secured historic investments to rebuild Pennsylvania’s infrastructure while creating thousands of good-paying, Pennsylvania jobs, a win-win for working families across the Commonwealth. As he has done his entire life, Bob Casey is fighting to protect our right to organize, secure fair wages and benefits, and ensure safer working environments. We are proud to stand with him to win these critical fights.”

CWA District 2-13 International Vice President Michael P. Davis

“Whether it is introducing pro-union legislation, standing in solidarity with striking workers, or fighting for fair pay and benefits, Bob Casey has spent his entire career standing up for Pennsylvania workers. We are proud to support his re-election and look forward to sending him back to Washington where he can continue the good fight for our workers.”
