PENNSYLVANIA – Last week, Senator Bob Casey sent a letter to President Biden urging Administration officials to press Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on fentanyl coming from China into the United States and the Chinese government’s response to Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel.
Senator Casey is a recognized leader in the fight to stand up to China and has been working to hold China accountable for the fentanyl crisis in the United States and its actions threatening our national security.

- As Administration officials meet with Chinese leaders today, U.S. Senator Bob Casey is calling for a hard line stance on multiple issues.
- Casey sent a letter to President Biden yesterday, urging a focus on the fentanyl crisis and the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
- In the letter, Casey says that while Mexican cartels are responsible for the manufacture of Fentanyl smuggled into the U.S., they rely on Chinese-sourced materials for that manufacture, and urged the President to insist upon China’s co-operation in addressing the crisis.
- Casey also asked the President to raise concerns about China’s failure to condemn the “horrific slaughter of civilians and taking of hostages” by Hamas.
