Pittsburgh Local No. 1 President Ralph Sicuro: “Senator Casey’s Record Speaks For Itself When It Comes To Public Safety In Pennsylvania And He Deserves To Be Re-Elected To Serve Another Term In The Senate.”

PENNSYLVANIA – On Monday, on behalf of their 700 active members and 800 retired members, the Pittsburgh Firefighters, IAFF Local No. 1 endorsed U.S. Senator Bob Casey for re-election.

The IAFF is one of the largest and most influential labor unions in North America. They are committed to advancing the rights, safety, and future of fire fighters, emergency medical workers, and rescue workers across the United States and Canada.

Read Pittsburgh Firefighters, IAFF Local No. 1 President Ralph Sicuro’s statement below:

“Senator Bob Casey has been a longtime supporter of firefighters during his time in the Senate. From fighting cuts to federal grants such as AFG and SAFER so that first responders have access to vital safety equipment and staffing, to supporting the repeal of the Windfall Elimination Provision and the Government Pension Offset, which steal Social Security benefits from retired firefighters and their families, Senator Casey’s record speaks for itself when it comes to public safety in Pennsylvania and he deserves to be re-elected to serve another term in the Senate.”
