Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association Endorses Bob Casey for U.S. Senate
PENNSYLVANIA – The Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association endorsed Bob Casey for re-election to the U.S. Senate.
“Keeping Pennsylvanians safe is a top priority for Senate Casey, who has always fought for firefighters and first responders during his time in the Senate,” said Robert Brooks, president of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association. “He has brought home millions to help local fire departments hire more firefighters and make sure we have what we need to protect Pennsylvanians, and he has fought to make sure retired firefighters and first responders can retire with the dignity they’ve earned. We know that Bob Casey will always prioritize workers and public safety and he deserves to be re-elected to the Senate.”
Senator Casey has championed first responders and unions. Casey is an original co-sponsor of the FIRE STATION Act, a bipartisan bill to update fire stations across the Commonwealth and the country. He has brought home federal funds to purchase safety equipment, hire firefighters, and fund training programs. To make sure firefighters who have served their communities have the benefits they’ve earned in retirement, he has always fought to protect Social Security benefits for firefighters and has saved the pensions of 52,000 workers across Pennsylvania.
