Over 100 Veterans Across the Commonwealth Have Joined the “Veterans for Casey” Coalition in Support of Senator Casey’s Re-Election Campaign

Bob Casey Has Fought for Veterans’ Benefits, Health Care, and Recognition Throughout His Time in the Senate

PENNSYLVANIA — Ahead of the first Pennsylvania U.S. Senate debate on Thursday, over 100 veterans from across Pennsylvania are standing with Senator Bob Casey, joining the Veterans for Casey coalition in support of his re-election campaign.

Senator Casey is committed to upholding America’s promise to look after our veterans, who have made the greatest sacrifices serving our country. He helped lead the fight to pass the PACT Act, which expanded access to health care for veterans injured because of exposure to burn pits and other toxic substances. He also fought to include provisions in the bill to improve recruitment and retention of health care professionals at rural VA facilities. More than 32,000 Pennsylvania veterans have received help through the PACT Act and tens of thousands more are eligible.

Senator Casey has worked across the aisle to help veterans access the robust health care benefits they’ve earned and receive the recognition they rightfully deserve. He wrote and passed the bipartisan ABLE Age Adjustment Act, which allowed more than one million disabled veterans to save money without risking their federal disability benefits, and led the Honoring Purple Heart Recipients Act to require the Department of Defense to include the names of certain Purple Heart recipients on its military awards website. Senator Casey also led the effort to pass the Rosie the Riveter Congressional Gold Medal Act to honor the women who joined the workforce in support of the war effort during World War II.

These veterans across the Commonwealth are standing with Senator Casey and supporting his re-election because they know he is the leader who will fight for them in Washington.
